Application of RFID Technology in Aviation Management

With the rapid development of economy, the civil aviation industry has achieved unprecedented development. Most bar codes cannot be changed after being printed, and RFID tags can be added, modified or deleted repeatedly of the data. Convenient to update the information.


5.Penetrating and unobstructed reading


In the condition of coverage, RFID can penetrate non-metallic or non-transparent materials such as paper, wood and plastics, and it also can communicate through them. Bar-code scanners just can read bar-code at close range and without objects blocking them.

Because RFID carries electronic information, its data content can be protected by password, so that its content is not easy to be forged and altered.


Through the baggage handling system, airlines can effectively solve most problems of misloading and misdelivery of baggage, and it also can greatly reduce the amount of compensation for lost baggage.

Applications of RFID technology in passenger services include: E-ticket, VIP service, personalized service, airport navigation service, etc. Using the e-tickets avoids the embarrassment of being unable to board the plane due to the loss or forgetting of tickets; VIP service can use the proprietary RFID VIP card to achieve convenient service; Humanized service can evacuate people and retrieve lost children through personal positioning. Airport navigation is realized by personal positioning and electronic map technology.



VI. Security





In terms of access control, unauthorized personnel should not enter the restricted area through the access control card. In the flight area, In combination with GPS technology, the system can monitor the whole process of landing and taking off in real time .
